My Role – Sole Developer

RADIAL IMPACT STEAM TRAILER

What is Radial Impact?

Radial Impact is a single-player, reaction time indie game developed by Devin Sherry. The game was developed in Unreal Engine 4 from start to finish over the period of 4 months in the summer of 2014. Radial Impact supports three different game modes: Classic Mode, Time Trials Mode, and Waves Mode, and is available now via multiple channels. First, Radial Impact is available to download for free here, or by downloading Radial Impact on the Unreal Engine 4 Community Marketplace where you can view the source Blueprint scripts, and the other content I created for the game. Lastly, Radial Impact will be available to download via Steam because it has been recently successful in its Steam Green-light campaign! On this platform, the game will cost $0.99 for those who want to financially support the game, and myself as the sole developer.

Radial Impact Greenlit on Steam

Originally posted on July 18, 2015

I received fantastic news about Radial Impact this week; Radial Impact was successfully Green-lit on Steam! Last year in SteamGreenlightAugust, I had submitted Radial Impact to Steam Green-light and was able to get great feedback from the community to make improvements to the game. As of last week, Radial Impact was successfully Green-lit on Steam and as a result, I will be releasing the game on Steam within the next few weeks! There will be both a free demo and a full build of Radial Impact on Steam, but the full build will cost $0.99; don’t worry, Radial Impact will still be free to download on this website, and to download through the Unreal Engine 4 Community Marketplace. I just want those who want to support my work/career to have the outlet to financially support the game; otherwise free avenues are available to play the game.

In addition, I am working to get Radial Impact released as an HTML build so that you guys can play the game on this website for free.

Radial Impact Available on Unreal Engine 4 Community Marketplace

Originally posted on May 4, 2015

Today is a great day for Radial Impact; I was contacted by Lauren Ridge and Tommy Jacob from Epic Games regarding placing Radial Impact on the Community Marketplace for Unreal Engine 4. I have been working with this group of developers to make the necessary changes/corrections to Radial Impact so that it can be released for free download. In addition, I have been working with Epic Games to create a series of tutorials based on some of the mechanics of Radial Impact so that others in the community can learn how to create a reaction time game using Unreal Engine 4; watch them here.

As of today, Radial Impact is now available for free download on the Unreal Engine 4 Launcher Community Marketplace so that everyone can check out how the game was made, make modifications to the game, and overall enjoy the experience. This is great exposure for the game, and myself as a developer, and it was a true pleasure to work alongside developers of Epic Games to make this possible. If you haven’t already, you can download Unreal Engine 4 here.
